Welcome
to Miss Rody and Mrs. Perdue's Class!
We are the Caring,
Sharing Squad at AJ!
This year will be
an exciting year of new discoveries and lots of learning. As a
multi-age classroom, our class will be working to develop into a
community of responsible, independent learners as well as striving
to become a cooperative team. We will be doing many fun activities
that include learning about the state of Alaska,
writing pen pals in Alaska, learning about whales, Native
Americans, reading chapter books, poetry and much more. I am
looking forward to our new school year
2009-2010.
You will soon
discover that we are passionate teachers. We love
what we do. We believe that every child has many gifts
and talents. It is our goal to help each child reach their
highest potential while learning to love learning. We work hard but
we also laugh a lot. We have found that our class always
becomes a very close-knit community as we walk through our year
together. Song and laughter fill our days
together.
Please browse the
documents pages to keep informed on monthly newsletters and
updates. You will find fun pictures of class activities in the
image gallery. Our homework packets are sent home with your child
on Mondays and due on the following Friday. Check postings at the
homework tab for weekly updates.
Communication
between home and school is very important for a successful year of
learning for your child. Please feel free to contact us
throughout the year with questions, concerns or comments. I will
respond as quickly as possible. E-mail is the quickest way
for us to be contacted. We look forward to an exciting
year together!
