I’m so happy with my
class. What a great group of boys and girls you have allowed
me to guide this school year, 2009-2010. There will have many
changes this year for Third Graders. Letter grades will be on
the first Report Card at Conference time in November. Cursive
handwriting letters will be introduced in
January, as well as an exciting trip to the
Children’s Theater in Seattle, January 7th
. In Social Studies our curriculum will provide your children
with a study of Native Americans in
Washington.
I’m looking forward to the
academic growth your children will be making. We’re
going to read good books, study science, social studies and so much
more . . .
I want this to be a
healthy year, too. Let’s focus on prevention of colds
and the flu or H1N1.
Flu Tips for
Parents:
Get sleep, eat right, exercise.
Avoid touching eyes, nose or mouth.
Wash frequently. Use hand sanitizer.
Please remember if you
have questions or concerns, please contact me by phone, a note or
email: meastman@auburn.wednet.edu
We’re going to have a
terrific year.
