Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to the second grade! I feel fortunate to have the
opportunity to work with you and your son or daughter as we begin a
very exciting school year. This year will prove to be an
important and fun step in your child’s education. I am
looking forward to working with you throughout the course of the
year to provide exciting learning opportunities for your
child.
I
am excited to be teaching second grade at Alpac Elementary School
this year. This is my fourth year teaching second grade here
and I’m looking forward to another great year. I
received my teaching degree from Central Washington University with
a double major in Early Childhood Education and Elementary
Education. Prior to graduating I spent many years working with
young children as a preschool teacher. In my free time I enjoy
spending time with my family and coaching
basketball.
Your child’s positive experience and educational success this
year are extremely important to me. Second grade is an
exciting year. We will be working toward gaining independence
in our work as we continue to develop reading, writing and math
skills as well as building important community skills. Here
are a few more important details for you to know about our second
grade classroom.
