I opened a facebook page for rehearsal videos for my choir students. It is under "AMHS choir"

$125 Silverwood deposit due as soon as possible. I need to know how many are attending the trip so I can decide if we need two buses or if we need to limit the attendees to 54 so we can fit on one bus.
If you sold 10 boxes of cookie dough or more you do NOT need to put a deposit down.

All of the Aussies are placed in homes for January 8-19th except ONE MALE TEACHER, 46 years old. Anyone interested in hosting him? I can host him with the female teacher I am hosting but he would probably prefer his own host home. It is a great opportunity!!!

 WOW!
The AMHS choral program has
GROWN!!!!
Jazz choir has 65 members! AMAZING!
What an exciting year ahead!!!
Our program has 31 seniors!!! We have so much talent! We have many students
who have acheived awards in
various music competitions!
Our four choirs are:
Jazz, at 7:05 every morning
A Cappella, first period
Chamber Choir, second period
 and Concert Choir, third period

I teach GUITAR too!!! 5th period,
Beginning guitar in the Fall
and Advanced in the Spring.

The choir students have the following opportunities during this school year:

Hosting an Australian student
The Aussies arrive at 9 p.m. on Friday January 8th and will depart after lunch on Tuesday January 19th after spending the morning attending classes with their host.
On my facebook page I have a group called Aussie hosts so we can coordinate plans via facebook when they are arriving and while they are here.

Going to SILVERWOOD
and competing in the Music in the Parks music festival in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho on Saturday, June 5th. We will leave AMHS Friday June 4th at 9:30 a.m. and return to AMHS around 3 p.m. on Sunday.
FUNDRAISING begins in October!
We will sell cookie dough TWICE this year, once in October and then at the end of March. Many students have sold enough cookie dough in previous years to completely pay for their trip! If you sell approx. 30 boxes of cookie dough it will cover it! Other fundraising opportunities are Party Lite.
The costs of the trip will be $200 per student, covering the charter bus, festival fees, pizza party Friday evening, lodging at the Holiday Inn Express in Hayden, ID (which is connected to Triple Play waterpark-check it out on the web- amazing!!) and your share of the bus driver's hotel room($4.00)

SOLO AND ENSEMBLE
On March 6th at Kent-Meridian High School hundreds of singers from the Green River Music Region will meet and perform their prepared piece for the adjudicator.  One entry from each category will be selected to represent the Green River Music Region at STATE solo and ensemble contest in Ellensburg at the end of April. By December 11th all entries are due to me, including your entry(solo, duet, etc) and the song you are doing plus your payment is due to the bookkeeper before we leave for our holiday vacation, if possible. Solos are $15, small ensembles are $20. Write check to "AMHS choir club" and tell Mrs. Kukors it is for solo and ensemble.

MEN OF AMHS CHOIRS!! TUXES ARE NEEDED!!
I have some seniors from last year who are interested in selling their tuxes for a reduced rate. Please email me at
musicfog@yahoo.com. If you prefer a NEW TUX please go to ROTTLES clothing store on Main Street in downtown Auburn and Jim Rottle will set you up! A complete tux will cost just over $200( Approx). They will measure you and if you are a younger student they will allow growth in your tux( big hems in the sleeves and pants) Keep in mind that if you plan to attend any formal dances you will probably rent a tux for about $100 or more and return it when the dance is over. If you OWN your tux you can rent a vest and shirt for about $20 to change it each dance and save LOTS of money. Plus you will look terrific in CHOIR!

Jazz and A Cappella women that need to order dresses go to http://www.formalwear-outlet.com/
and search for "Bubble Canso dress" and order it in black. Check the size chart and measure accurately before you order! :)
