Students, gear up for a brilliant year of
exploration in reading, writing, thinking and
speaking!
In LA 9, we will practice the art of essay writing as well as
reading and discussing short stories, novels, and even some
Shakespeare.
LA 9 Interventions--this class is intended to support student
success in LA 9. It's a wonderful place to get extra practice
and more concentrated teacher-student interaction.
In American Lit, we will ponder the concept of community--big and
small.
We will read two novels, write a research paper, write at least two
literary analysis papers and present formal speeches and
student led discussion and a performances.
I am in the process of moving houses, and school is my respite from
the stress of my outside life. Many students (though they may
not admit it) really appreciate the predictability and structure of
school, with my current craziness, I completely
understand.
