Room 402 News!

2009
The school year is almost over! We have worked so hard
this year and made so much growth. Students will be
participating in all kinds of activities over the next two
weeks! A lot of fun activities as well as a lot of
assessments towards IEP goals and objectives.
Remember the more reading, writing, and math practice your
child does over the summer, the farther ahead they will be in
September.
Some ideas..
Have your child read the comics, books, magazines,
signs a long the road. King County Libraries
have many great books and summer reading programs.
Playing board games works on all kinds of reading and math
skills.
Counting objects, telling time, counting money, practicing
multiplication and divisioin facts, finding times in
television guides, looking at adds and prices, are all ways to work
on some math skills. Reading the temperature and measure
items with rules, tape measures, and yard sticks are great ways to
practice measurement!
Writing letters or e-mails to family and friends lets a
child practice writing skills. Using the dictionary is
a great way to practice spelling and reading.
Most importantly have a wonderful, relaxing, and safe
summer.
See you on September 9th!
