Happy Fall everyone!
I have written a detailed update on our class's progress
academically in the last month or so in the Announcements section
of this website. Please take a few minutes to read through
it. I know it is quite lengthy but we have had a lot of
learning going on!
I would like to remind you of a couple of up coming events at
Scobee in the month of November (and this last week of
October).
* Health Screening will be Wednesday, October 29. It is
really important that all students be here and on time this
day.(Actually it is always important that students be here on time,
everyday:-)
* We have our first Scobee Awards Assembly on Thursday, October 30
at 2:00 p.m. Parents are always welcome to attend.
* November 4 is picture retake day but, most important it is
election day. Get out there and vote!!
*November 7 is day that I close my gradebook for the first
trimester's grades. November 8 it opens for second trimester
grades. I will use first trimester's grades for our
upcoming parent conferences and report cards.
Nov. 10 we have our first small field trip to Auburn Mountain View
for a play. We will only be gone about two hours. We
will be back at school well before lunch. Also, at 2:00 is
our Veteran's Day assembly. We encourage all to attend,
especially our Veterans!
Nov. 11 No School in honor of Veteran's Day.
Please take time to discuss this important day with your child and
let them know if they have Veteran's in their family. They
usually will surprise you with their many questions about these
amazing people.
Nov. 12 PTA meeting @ 3:30. If you are able to attend
even one of these meetings this year, please do so. We would
love to have more parents involved.
Nov. 19, 20, 21 are Parent Conference Days. Please try to
keep your scheduled time but if it is not possible, please call the
main office to reschedule and I will do my best to meet your
needs. Cookie dough items will be delivered some time on the
19th. If you have some time and would be willing to help with
the handing out of orders any of those three days, I would so
appreciate it. It can get challenging trying to do parent
conferences and hand out cookie dough. Give me a call if you
can spare some time.
Thanks for your support this year. See you all at
Parent Conferences!!
