Welcome to the 2009-2010 school
year!
I am so happy to be teaching my ninth year at
Dick Scobee Elementary and my thirteenth year as an elementary
teacher!
I began my teaching career after graduating from Concordia
University in 1994. I started teaching kindergarten in
the Monroe School district for four years. I was then
hired at Dick Scobee in 1999 to teach first grade. I moved to
kindergarten in 2002-2004 and after taking two years off
to stay home with my children and earn my masters degree from
Grand Canyon University, I came back to Scobee in 2006
to teach first grade again!
I am married to my husband, Jim, and we have four beautiful
children named Kendall (15), Max (5), Gracie (4) and our new
addition Addison who was born on June 11th. We also
have a black lab named Harley, a yellow lab named Logan and a
cat named Shadow.
For fun I love to watch sports (HUGE SPORTS FAN), especially the
Seahawks and my oldest daughter's soccer team. I also love to
take photographs and create photo books. My new endeavor
that started last year is to coach the dance team with
Mrs. Long at Dick Scobee. I danced jazz and ballet for
16 years, so it is fun to see the young dancers at Scobee have fun
in the creative arts!
Most of all, I want you to know that I love to teach and look
forward to the upcoming year! If you ever have any questions
or concerns, please feel free to e-mail me at dlindberg@auburn.wednet.edu
or call me at school between the hours of 8-4 at
253-931-4984.
Creating a caring classroom,
Mrs. Dara Lindberg
