This is
my nineth year teaching in the Auburn School District. My
first year I taught second grade at Lakeview Elementary. Since then
I have been a first grade teacher at Hazelwood. I am graduate of
the Auburn School District and attended Lea Hill Elementary,
Cascade Junior High and Auburn High School. I graduated from
Western Washington University with a degree in Business
Administration.
I have two sons.
Collin is a senior at the University of Washington
majoring in economics. Garrett is an 12th grader at Mountainview
High School and likes to run cross country and track.
When Garrett
was born I stopped working in accounting and opened a home daycare.
That allowed me to stay home with my own children. My temporary job
lasted 9 years! When I closed my daycare I decided to follow in my
mother's footsteps and become a teacher. I attended City University
where I earned my Masters in Teaching in 2000.
I like
to travel and got to spend a week at Whistler this
summer. My hobbies and passions include quilting during the
winter and gardening the rest of the year.
I love
teaching first graders! I love to see them learn to read and am
continually amazed by the growth they make during the
year.
I am looking forward to a fabulous year!
