have been an elementary music specialist in the Auburn School
District for five years – two years at Lea Hill
Elementary and for three years at Lakeland Hills
Elementary. I am excited for a new year with so many
possibilities for learning – not only for the students but
for me as well!! I enjoy directing musicals and you can look
forward to another all-school musical in the spring with our
fabulous production team at LLH. I also enjoy performing in
musicals and some of you may have seen me as the Glinda in The
Wizard of Oz, Blue Fairy in Pinocchio, the White Witch
in the musical Narnia, or Anna in The King and
I. My husband also works for the Auburn School District as
a counselor at Auburn Mountainview High School. My daughter,
attends Lakeland Hills Elementary and Raelene attends Mt. Baker
Middle School!
Music at Lakeland Hills
We are excited for a new year of music at LLH
and the wonderful learning opportunities for students
through our fantastic music technology and
equipment. We have 16 new Roland E-09 keyboard/arrangers
(purchased with PTA fundraiser $), 8 new iPod nanos (purchased with
Best Buy Technology Grant), and an additional student computer in
the music room (purchased with Quest Online Safety Grant).
With these resources students will have more hands-on opportunities
to develop an understanding and enjoyment of music that will last a
lifetime!
Our goal is for students to spend as much time
performing, creating, and listening to music and students
understand that they have certain responsibilities to each other in
order for our time to be well spent.
Respect Yourself
1. I will participate and do my best
2. I will listen and follow directions.
Respect Others
3. I will speak and act politely.
4. I will enter and exit quietly.
Respect our School
5. I will take care of our musical equipment.
Music Calendar
Watch the LLH webpage as well as notices in
“kid mail” for dates of upcoming
opportunities!!
