Library Goals
The library is the heart of the
school. Books bring knowledge, relaxation, creativity and fun. It
is the goal of the Lakeland Hills Elementary Library to integrate

Mrs. Leaf and Mrs. Lee:

Lakeland Hills Elementary: 1020
Evergreen Way SE, Auburn, WA 98092

Welcome to Lakeland Hill’s library.
Mrs. Leaf is the librarian. She has taught for 28 years in a variety of
grades and subjects. Books and integration are one of her true loves for
which she shares with her students in the library. Mrs. Leaf is married to
Mike who is a truck driver. They have 3 children and three grandchildren (who are
the absolute best—- just ask). Mr. and Mrs. Leaf live in Auburn, so it is an easy commute to school. Reading,
scrapbooking, quilting, video editing, geneology and gardening are things that you will
find Mrs. Leaf doing in her spare time.
Mrs. Lee is the library assistant and is also in charge of all the crossing
guards who keep Lakeland Hills’ students safe. Mrs. Lee has 3 children: 2
at Mt. Baker and 1 at Terminal Park. Mrs. Lee spends a lot of time
with her children and family. She is a great cook and likes to scrapbook,
sing, dance and read.
When students come to the library they will be able to checkout 1 book in
kindergarten and 2 books in first through fifth grade. Books can be
returned each week during library time. If you finish before your next
library time, just pop into the library at open checkout each morning from
8:20-8:40. While you’re in the library check to see if you can find any
missing, mischievous or helpful gnomes.
The Lakeland Hills library will provide the students of our community with books to enhance their learning while at the same time peak their reading enjoyment. The Library will facilitate classrooms to entice all students to learn skills needed to be successful learners.
