Dear Parents,
Your child is beginning a new and exciting year in school. I
am so pleased to be your child’s Teacher. I have
been with the Auburn School District for more than
21 years. First Grade is an exciting year in school for your
child. They learn to READ!
It is my goal to provide your child with a warm, supportive,
and stimulating learning environment. I take seriously the
responsibility of working with each and every child. It
is my hope that your child will be challenged and motivated by
our learning activities. I will be working closely with our
grade level team to make sure we are on target at all
times. It is my hope that the children will enjoy school
but also be challenged and encouraged to work to their full
potential.
During the course of this year, we will be involved in a variety of
activities and “special” projects. Your participation
is welcomed and encouraged. I will send home a monthly supply
list. These items will be optional, however, if we do not receive
the needed items, we will be unable to do the project.
Parent involvement is essential; therefore, I feel that it is
important that we keep in close contact throughout the year. Please
feel free to call or email me with questions and/or any
concerns you may have. I will do the same. Our classroom is

education for every child. We work hard to ensure that every child
has a rewarding learning experience in school. Seeing the growth of
every child is so exciting and we are glad to be sharing it with
