Cameras are on!
                STOP for the Red LIght! 
                    and SLOW DOWN 
        for yellow flashing lights in the school zone!
New to 124th Ave. S.E. in the Lea Hill school zone, TRAFFIC CAMERAS! Please heed the flashing yellow lights that alert you to critical times for you to slow down during the school day. If you speed, the cameras will catch you and you could get a ticket for over $200! 
Please note the crosswalk traffic light as well. When the light is red, you MUST stop--it indicates someone is about to cross the street in the crosswalk. Please use extreme caution around the school zone at all times.

H1N1 Resources for families

Home with Flu, a 2-page comic-strip with tips about planning for back-up childcare, recognizing flu symptoms, and knowing when to contact a health care provider. We will have translations in numerous languages available soon.

Quick Flu Tips for Parents and Caregivers is a 1-page sheet with tips on how to avoid getting the flu, how long to stay home when sick, and explicit details about when and when not to see your doctor, ask for a lab test, or request antiviral medication. One of our tips is that children don’t need a note from a doctor to return to school or child care after they are well again. Quick Flu Tips is branded with our Public Health logo at the top, as requested by a number of school districts.

EMERGENCY SCHOOL INFORMATION
: Obtain up-to-the-minute school closure and emergency information for the Auburn School District at  www.schoolreport.org.
Auburn uses this site to post emergency announcements, such as school closures and delays. You can subscribe to receive emergency messages via email or text message.

To sign up for email or text messages go to www.schoolreport.org.  Click on My School Report and follow the simple instructions. To subscribe to text messages, you will need to contact your cell phone carrier to identify the email address for your phone.

Child Nutrition Services announcement: A reminder - our school participates in the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs. As such, families with financial need (even temporarily) are able to apply for free or reduced priced meals for their children enrolled in Auburn schools - please use one application for the entire family. An income guideline chart and application can be found on the District's website, (www.auburn.wednet.edu) in the school office, or by request in the kitchen. Applications and student status are kept confidential. Once approved, your child(ren) are qualified for the school year - you do not need to do a new application until the start of the next school year.
