We are off to a great start at Mt. Baker. After a couple of
frantic days working with lockers and schedules, our sixth graders
are subperbly getting the hang of things.
I have started assigning
homework!
All homework is listed on this website
under the HOMEWORK tab.
Please take the time to review the planner with your child.
Not only will you find the day's homework, but you will also find
what we studied and any special activities, such as an assembly or
guest speaker that we may have had. In addition, you can
check the front of the planner on page 19 and review the
consequences page. Here you can find if your child was
processed or was required to serve lunch detention.

I am looking forward to working with you and your child to make his
or her first year at Mt. Baker a successful one! I am very
excited to begin a new year and to get to know your child in my
social studies class. I am a graduate from Central
Washington University, and teaching is my second career after
working ten years at Boeing. This will be my ninth year
working in the Auburn School District. Previously, I was a
para-educator for five years working in various
buildings. This will be my fourth year teaching, two of which
have been here at the wonderful Mt. Baker Middle School. Most
of my life has been spent here in Auburn, where my husband and I
have raised our two children who are 20 and 15 years
old. I enjoy singing, reading mysteries and vacationing
with my family in my “spare”
time.
