Hello and
Welcome!
I am delighted to have so many talented students in my classroom
for the 2009-2010 academic year. Social studies help
students to lay a foundation for their social and cognitive
development as well as prepare them for their secondary
education. I encourage students to contribute to the learning
process and take an active part of their learning through
participation in classroom activities. Drawing upon my
background as a visual artist, I incorporate the arts, music,
social interaction and many other disciplines into my teaching to
provide students with an enriching learning environment.
This web page will serve as an online resource for my students as
well as their parents and guardians. Please check back
frequently as I continue to add more content. You may
navigate the site using the links on the left side of the
page.
Parents, I strongly encourage you to view the
Announcements, Events, Homework and Grades pages and discuss the
information you find there with your student. The more
involved you are with your student's day-to-day activities and
model effective time management skills, the more successful he or
she will be in class!
